Whatever their political stance, anyone who listens to this and still feels unmoved would have to be devoid of all human emotion.
The audiobook will be released in October on Little Brown Audio, a division of Hachette Books.

We recorded a fascinating podcast in August with Emily Nussbaum on the subject of the Canadian TV series ‘Slings and Arrows’ with an interviewer over Zoom from New York. Emily, a Pulitzer prize winning critic, reviews it as a cult classic and her favourite series of all time.

Nation’s Dumbest - Fox TV - Jack Whitehall ADR
That was intense, recording 4 episodes of the smash US hit game show, Nations’ Dumbest for Fox TV with Jack Whitehall, including the season finale. Seems like an apt name for a US series at the moment too 🙂
With two producers, including Marc Weinstein, zooming in at 4am Pacific Time from LA, these last minute bookings from the States can be tricky as the movies and scripts typically arrive just before the session. I was flying by the seat of my pants to get everything synced up and cues created in time which was pretty stressful. And, if the computer system is ever going to give me jip … why does it always happen on high pressure jobs??
However once the session was underway everything went smoothly…. Phew!
Jack was great to work with and I was very pleased to get another set of ADR credits under my belt once it was all over.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries
for Channel 5 - ADR
More great ADR sessions at the studio dubbing Award winning Canadian born Alex Gaumond. Directed over Zoom by from London by producer Tushar Manek and contributors from Ireland. There were just some occasional lines to record here for series 5 of The Madam Blanc Mysteries at Offbeat but setting up for these kinds of sessions in advance can involve more work than the actual recordings themselves. In this case there were five episodes of the current series to do so getting everything in sync and setting up cues to the supplied scripts so that everything goes smoothly when the talent turns up and everyone is online, is where most of the work is done. Once that was achieved Alex sailed through the script lines and everyone was happy with the results.
Alex Gaumond (pictured right) is a highly versatile Canadian actor, singer, and filmmaker. Derry Girls (Channel 4) – Appeared as a guest star in the critically acclaimed comedy. He recently co-wrote and produced the award-winning short film Two and a Half Minutes
The Siege - Channel 4 Drama - ADR with Alexej Manvelov
Blown away to be involved in this phenomenal 6 episode channel 4 series about the Iranian hostage crisis. I recorded ADR for the first 3 episodes with Alexej Manvenov with more to follow. Surprisingly it stars Danny Dyer as well as David Morrissey and Mark Bonnar
Working with producers over Zoom was another intense and enjoyable experience and Alexej was extremely professional and his attention detail for lip syncing was interesting. He used the same technique as Tilda Swinton for the ADR. When hearing the line that they were syncing, they repeated the line three times and the producers picked the best line which I then had to quickly sync on the fly before moving on to the next one. This is surprisingly effective as the tone matching is easy for the actors to replicate and the speed of the read is the only issue.

Other Audio Projects in August
Other jobs in August include a radio campaign for Just Eat with comedienne Sapphire McIntosh. She was debating her show Squeaky Bum Time at the Fringe.
A selection of radio ads for the Irish Panto ROBIN HOOD at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin with MJ. The Gaiety Theatre has hosted the annual Christmas Panto since 1873. Today, families come from far and wide to experience the Gaiety Christmas Panto and for many it has become as much a family Christmas tradition as Santa himself! This is no ordinary Panto… It’s the Gaiety Panto…!
Comedian Ali Brice recorded the ADR for a short film promoting Ninja 1 an IT Operations platform.
