Custom Backing Tracks

Offbeat is a professional Edinburgh recording studio creating custom backing tracks for touring artists, singers, theatre performers, songwriters and solo artists for recording projects worldwide. 

With years of recording and production experience, producers and session musicians Offbeat Custom backing track Head producer George Wood along with Producer and musician  Iain McKinna, also work with professional musicians to create studio-quality backing tracks for both original material and covers.

Recent projects include producing 28 backing tracks for the 2026 North American Forever K-Pop arena tour, as well as contributing to a charity album produced by Sir Chris Evans featuring artists including Brian Eno, Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzie Osbourne, Pink Floyd's Nick Mason and Ronnie Wood. 

We also created bespoke performance tracks for Peel Entertainment.

Many artists (including singer songwriters, solo artists and vocal performers) come to Offbeat when they need reliable, broadcast-quality tracks for live performance, auditions, recordings or releases. 

Every track is arranged, recorded and mixed at our Edinburgh & Livingstone recording studios using a combination of sampled - and real instruments, experienced session musicians on specialised instruments where the budget allows - and professional studio production.
