1. What does a recording studio gift experience include?
As assisted session with an experienced producer. Backing Tracks and an extensive range of studio instruments. Tuition if required and you leave with an MP3 and/or WAV file of your track(s)
2. Do I need to be a professional singer or musician?
Not at all. We welcome beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals alike. Our producer tailors each session to your comfort and goals.
3. How do I redeem my gift voucher?
Simply visit the Gift Redemption page contact us by email or phone to arrange your preferred date. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
4. Can I bring someone to watch or join in?
Yes, guests are welcome. Many bring a partner or friend for support or to sing together. Your voucher includes two people singing.
5. Can I choose the song I record?
Yes. Backing Tracks are included from a massive library of songs. Bring your own music, backing track, or ideas if you prefer — we’ll handle the rest professionally in our Royal Mile studio.
6. I am not experienced in singing unaccompanied to a backing Track. Is that a problem?
We can make sure you have a vocal to sing along to to make it easy if required and it will be removed after your vocal is recorded.
7. Does it include session musicians?
If you are recording using instruments and you require musical accompaniment, we can provide help on Guitars, Bass, Keyboards and Drums
8. I don't play an instrument, is that a problem?
No, we work with many singers and even lyricists who don't play an instrument. Just let us know when you redeem your voucher what you want to achieve.
9. I'm really nervous about performing, can you help?
We understand that recording for the first time can be a little nerve racking. It's our job to out you at your ease and we guarantee you will overcome your nerves with our support and enjoy a confidence boosting experience.
10. Do you provide backing tracks and can you send them in advance of my experience?
Definitely, they are included and we are happy to send in advance for practise purposes
11. You have limited availability for these experiences. What does that mean?
We can only sell and schedule a max of 4 experiences every month due to our professional studio sessions at Offbeat. They are valid for 12 months and it normally takes 2 -4 weeks to schedule your session.
12. Is there disabled access at the studio?
We don't have disabled access. The studio is located on the top floor of a historic Royal Mile tenement
