Bring your group to Offbeat Studios on Edinburgh's Royal Mile for a professionally guided recording studio experience. 

Choose from a 2 hour group singing session, a studio introduction, an audiobook narration workshop or a Voice Over session, all led by audio producers with years of professional experience in the industry.

Whether you're organising a student group visit, a corporate event or a private celebration, sessions are tailored to your group's interests and run in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.

Group Singing Event

To celebrate a special event, or just for pure fun, the group will record a version of their chosen song.  The arrangement of the song will be broken down into small parts. Typically everyone will sing the chorus together then smaller groups or soloists will perform the verses etc. 

The group will leave with a digital copy of the mixed track at the end of the session.

Audiobook Group Narration Workshop

Following an introduction to the studio and how Audiobook sessions work, each participant will read a short 5-7 minute passage from their own chosen text. This will be evaluated by the producer/director for pace, performance and consistency. 

The group will leave with a digital copy of each participant's recording at the end of the session.

Voice Over Narration Workshop

Following an introduction to the studio and how VO sessions work, each participant will read a short 5-7 minute passage from their own chosen text. This will be evaluated by the producer/director for pace, performance and consistency.

The group will leave with a digital copy of each participant's recording at the end of the session.

2 Hours - £25pp

This allows up to 15 participants to take part in any of the events/workshops on offer. 

We can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 people at £25pp

To confirm a slot for your event, we require the minimum payment once you have decided on your preferred date and time.

Offbeat is a working broadcast studio and we currently limit our studio workshops and group events to only 2 per month
