At Offbeat on the Royal Mile, studio time is £160 for 2 hours, £220 for 3 hours and £280 for 4 hours. Production experiences range from £280 for a 4-hour Production Secrets session to £1,500 for a two-day Artist Residency with two overnight stays.
No. Every session is guided by producer and engineer Iain McKinna, who has over 30 years' experience. We start with a test recording and some friendly feedback, record two or three takes, put together the best parts, then mix and master your song.
A song normally takes about an hour to do properly, so 2 hours suits two songs, 3 hours three songs and 4 hours four songs. We suggest choosing one extra as a backup in case things go quickly.
You leave with your songs mixed and mastered, as high-quality WAV and MP3 files.
Up to two people, so two friends or a couple can sing together. The experiences are designed for singers, songwriters and solo artists rather than full bands.
Both. We have a huge range of professional backing tracks, or you can bring your own songs and instruments. Send us your song choices a few days before and we'll have the lyrics and session ready so no time is wasted.
