Choose from a 2 hour studio tour & introduction, an audiobook narration workshop or a Voice Over session, all led by audio producers with years of professional experience in the industry.

Studio Tour & Introduction

A presentation of all the studio activities we do at Offbeat and a demonstration of :

ADR Recording Techniques
Audiobook Recording
Music Production
Audio for Music Videos

You will leave with an understanding of what takes place in a working music and broadcast studio using the latest digital technology.

Audiobook Group Narration Workshop

Following an introduction to the studio and how Audiobook sessions work, each participant will read a short 5-7 minute passage from their own chosen text. This will be evaluated by the producer/director for pace, performance and consistency. 

The group will leave with a digital copy of each participant's recording at the end of the session.

Voice Over Narration Workshop

Following an introduction to the studio and how VO sessions work, each participant will read a short 5-7 minute passage from their own chosen text. This will be evaluated by the producer/director for pace, performance and consistency.

The group will leave with a digital copy of each participant's recording at the end of the session.

2 Hours - £375

This allows up to 15 participants to take part in any of the events/workshops on offer. 

We can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 people at £25pp

We can host groups of up to 20 participants at a time. For larger groups we can split sessions too.

Offbeat is a working broadcast studio and we currently limit our studio workshops and group events to only 2 per month

  • CIEE are an International Exchange Organisation who brought 45 students for an Audiobook narration workshop in 2024 & 2025. Each student narrated a section of their own creative writing with guidance from our team and left with a recording of their work.

  • Gefion Gymnasium is one of Denmark's biggest school organisations. They brought 30 students to Edinburgh in 2026. We schooled them through a music production of the classic Scots song Loch Lomond. The song was recorded in sections of small and large groups
